Why do I need a Personal Trainer? After some soul-searching, more than a few people are realizing that they just don't possess the personal discipline, time and or energy to keep their health and fitness on track. Recognizing that we may not be able to do everything ourselves can be humbling. But health and fitness, is often difficult to maintain on our own. As life gets busier and more stressful more people are turning to a personal trainer to help them stay focused and motivated.

A personal trainer can help you maintain discipline, educate you, help you focus on your long-term goals and avoid the temptations that will always be present. A personal trainer can also lend an ear, offer advice and take away the pressure you might otherwise face going it alone.

A personal trainer isn't someone who simply tells you to exercise; or someone who makes every decision for you. They motivate you to exercise so eventually you can do it yourself. A personal trainer is someone who helps you devise a well-rounded, long-term strategy that makes sense for your personal situation and goals, then works with you over time toward achieving it.

It's important to determine what sort of role you'd like us to play in obtaining your goals. Spending some time separating the things you feel you're good at from the things you'd like to hand off can make the relationship with the personal trainer more productive.

The length of time that you work with a trainer varies on your ability to workout on your own. Some people need a few sessions to get them jump started and then they workout on their own. Other need more accountability and discipline that working more frequently with a trainer provides. Talk to your trainer about the appropriate frequency to meet your goals.

What we do: Train at Home specializes in providing in home exercise services with an experienced personal trainer. Our philosophy is that you don’t need expensive exercise equipment or an expensive club membership or several hours a day to attain your fitness goals.
Once you make the decision to work with us:
  • We will do a complete fitness evaluation.
  • Design an exercise program that is consistent with your fitness level, fitness goals and if required your doctors restrictions.
  • We are arrive on time.
  • We bring all of the home exercise equipment you need for your personal training session. If you have home exercise equipment we will incorporate that equipment in your home exercise program.
  • We keep track of your exercise progress
  • Keep you motivated and accountable.
  • We also will help you sort the often conflicting information about health and fitness.

What most people need: Most people need is quality information, education and guidance on how to optimize the time they devote to doing exercise at home. Often they are new to exercise or have not exercised in a long time.
  • What exercises should I do?
  • At what intensity level?
  • How often should they be performed?
  • How to exercise safely?

Experienced Exercisers: People that have exercised in the past can benefit from our personal training assistance. They could have exercised earlier in life. Now they might lack the consistency and motivation to complete their goals. They need more frequent exercise assistance.

  • The frequency can be once or twice a week, or every other week. Many clients start out with our personal trainer once or twice a week and gradually reduce the frequency.
  • Still others only meet with a personal trainer once or twice a month just to change their workout routines to reduce boredom.
  • Some people use our partner training plan and exercise with a neighbor or their parter to save money,
